Information on the general traffic regulations
The Pragser Tal Valley is open. It can be reached at any time by car, by public transport, by bike and on foot. Online bookings are no longer necessary.
There will be a traffic regulation for 2025 in the summer months. More detailed information will be announced in spring.
Arrival with your own car, motorhome, coach and motorbike
There are 3 parking lots at the Pragser Wildsee Lake. Parking lot P4 is 100 meters, P3 300 meters and P2 800 meters from the lake.
Please note: Please note that parking spaces are limited. All car parks are pay-and-display
Parking lot P4: 15€ for 3 hours; 1€ must be paid for each additional half hour. The maximum fee per day is 20€.
Parking lot P3: 8€ for one day
Parking lot P2: 6€ for one day
The P2 parking lot has charging stations for electric cars.
On this time of the year the Pargser Tal Valley can be reached for Travel Coaches at any time.
There is only limited parking for travel coaches.
Close to the lake is the P4 parking lot, where there are free but limited disabled parking spaces.
The walk around the Pragser Wildsee lake has a wide forest path on the right-hand side and a path on the left-hand side with several ascents with steps.
There is a toilet for the disabled at the Pragser Wildsee lake near Emma's Bistrot.
Arrival by public transport
The public bus route 442 takes visitors directly from Toblach/Dobbiaco, Niederdorf/Villabassa to the Pragser Wildsee Lake. The tariffs for local public transport apply. Line 439 from Welsberg / Monguelfo to Pragser Wildsee Lake will no longer run from 11.09.2024
Mobilcards, Guestpasses and value cards as well as the Südtirolpass are valid. The Mobilcard is available at the "südtirolmobil" sales points and at the tourist offices. Bus tickets can also be purchased directly from the bus driver. Please note that payment is only possible in cash. Reservation is not required.
Actually on bus 442 Mobilcards, Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass Braies and value cards as well as the Südtirolpass are valid.

No, bicycles cannot be taken along.
Children up to the age of 6 years can access free of charge. Everyone aged 6 or above must pay the entry fee.
You may take your pets on public transport at the regular charge (as per regulation no. 760/2016, article 23).
